Sorocaba`s Public Transportation System receives 30 more Caio buses

2019-05-14 The city of Sorocaba will now have 30 new Apache Vip buses, the country`s best-selling urban model, produced by Caio Induscar. The units were acquired by the companies CS Brasil and MobiBrasil and will operate through Consórcio Sorocaba (Consor) in the Public Transportation System, collaborating with the city`s mobility service.

The new vehicles, with front engines, are 11,330 meters long and have three access doors. They are 100% accessible, with two spaces for wheelchairs, automatic lifts and seats for people with disabilities (PcD), reduced mobility and the elderly.

All buses are equipped with state-of-the-art technology. They have USB sockets, for charging smartphones and other electronic devices, wireless stop request and multiplex system, which identifies possible failures in the operational and electrical part of the vehicle. They also have three LED electronic itineraries and monitoring through cameras, with the objective of ensuring even more safety for passengers.

Aiming at greater comfort and convenience for passengers, the units are equipped with barriers to the sun effects of the windows in smoked coloring and fully upholstered seats, providing greater comfort to passengers during travel.

30 more vehicles delivered

Since 2018, the Caio brand has been contributing to the evolution of the Sorocaba Public Transportation System. In addition to the Apache Vip being delivered to the city, Brazil`s largest car manufacturer also provided 30 units of the Millennium BRT model in the first semester of last year, 14 of which were articulated and 16 in the standard version.

All buses follow the technical specifications required by Urbes and were prepared to receive the installation of GPS, Wi-Fi system and validators that accept QrCod generated in mobile applications for the payment of passage.

For over 73 years, Caio has had the differential of meeting the demand of new and traditional customers, with products recognized in the mobility market for their quality, technology and robustness.
